Masonian 2010-2011

Completed on my birthday: March 19, 2011.

Over the course of the 2010-2011 school year I had the role of editor of the Masonian yearbook. This was the first year that yearbook had been run as a club instead of as a class within the school. For the first time, all of the work had to be done independently, and it took us nearly two months to get the program running at the high school. From the start we were behind the schedule and faced many problems, including a change in representation of our of our yearbook contact at a corporate level due to an unfortunate car accident involving our previous representative and relating loss of short term memory. But we managed to pull the program together and finish the book, bringing it up to the professional level that all of us wanted.

As well as holding the role of editor, I also played the role of graphic designer for the entire book. I designed the theme, cover, templates used, and created a inner magazine section as a personal project. Below you can see the cover design, an example of some intro spreads (which also coincidentally shows the image used in the template of the book’s theme) and the student life section of the book.

All images are shown at a reduced resolution. You may look and enjoy the artwork, but please contact me and ask for permission before using any of the media in any of your own projects.
